Our Services

Myofascial Massage

A therapeutic massage session that addresses specific issues commonly focusing on muscle and fascia adhesions rather than general relaxation. Goals of these sessions include reduced muscle tightness, increased in range of motion, improved muscle activation, and improved posture. Muscle spasms, adhesions, and trigger points are searched and addressed. We do not merely perform general "body sweeps" nor do we just "press on what hurts". Our therapists aim to identify the focal points and structures to best target your session in order to provide the best possible outcome. Our therapists employ a variety of techniques which may include but not limited trigger point, cross-fiber, pin-and-stretch, active release, passive release, pin-and-release, effluerage, PNF, and passive stretch. Our priority is on releasing your muscular tension, but not at the cost of comfort. Sessions will be tailored to your comfort.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is focused and systematic, targeting muscles that are used in a specific sport. It uses various techniques to decrease muscle pain and improve recovery, as well as improve overall range of motion and flexibility to support safe and effective movement. A sports massage therapist can assist with training, rehabilitation, and pre- or post-performance goals. While often sought by elite and amateur athletes, sports massage can also be beneficial for anyone who regularly exercises.

Deep tissue massage targets the inner layers of your muscles. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. Deeper is not always better, but deep tissue massage may be more effective in cases of chronic tension or trigger points.

Treatments are commonly focused on regions of developing stress and tension in the lumbopelvic area, pain in neck and shoulders from months of side sleeping, and possible fluid retention around the extremities. Specialty prenatal pillows are available for prone position massages as well.

Gua sha / Graston Massage

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a type of manual massage therapy that includes using specialized tools to manipulate the skin, myofascia, muscles, and tendons by using various direct compressive stroke techniques.

They promote healing by breaking up fascia, adhesions, scar tissue and bringing blood to the surface. The tools originate from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), where they are known as guasha and have been used since ancient times. Also known as the Graston Technique in current terminology, this type of treatment can be beneficial for many people with movement restrictions, tension, and pain.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is a common method to treat neck & back pain and persistent stiffness.  Spinal adjustment is a passive manual maneuver used to manipulate, massage, mobilize, adjust, and apply traction to the spine and related tissues.  Stiff joints are gently soothed to improve mobility. A spring-loaded tool (activator) is sometimes used to deliver a light, precise measured force to the joint.

Glide Cupping Therapy

This therapy uses glass or silicone cups to create suction on the surface of the body. The cups are moved over the skin for a short time using gliding and rotating techniques to help facilitate joint mobilization or soft tissue release. The suction reaches deep into the soft tissue to facilitate healing by loosening connective tissue, adhesions, moving stagnation and increasing lymphatic flow and circulation. Skin discolorations such as circular bruise marks are a normal post-treatment occurrence from cupping. Treatment time is approx 25 minutes.
